————————————————-
Basking in the pouring sunshine, you laugh innocently
Wanting to know anything and everything, I simply start running
We slowly advance through the open sea, like a boat that shines white
Taking in whatever winds come our way, I want to sail over the waves one by one
I offer you boundless love
Even in a storm I won’t let go of this hand I’ve taken hold of
Let’s start out on a new journey together
As we let our hearts pound, what we’re looking at is the OCEAN that stretches endlessly

Knocking together hearts that don’t fit together
All people know their own means of survival
Won’t you show me the tears you’ve held inside all by yourself now
Don’t be scared and don’t be lost, I want to touch your heart
I offer you boundless love
The words we exchanged and that voice of yours will continue to echo even if the seasons change
Don’t run away anywhere and let’s look up at the same sky
What’s waiting for an inseperable you and me is a OCEAN that quietly ripples

I offer you boundless love
Even in a storm I won’t let go of this hand I’ve taken hold of
Let’s start out on a new journey together
As we let our hearts pound, what we’re looking at is the OCEAN that stretches endlessly

Hey, thank you for posting the lyrics of “Ocean” by B’z.

As it happens, I was watching “Umizaru Evolutions”, which uses “Ocean” by B’z as its themesong for the end credits.

I bought “Umizaru Evolutions” with English subtitles from a company based in Malaysia. The subtitles weren’t too bad for a computer (I think).

I really enjoyed the series, but I have yet to watch either of the two movies.

Last year (2006/2007), there was an American film, “The Guardian” starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher that was very similar to “Umizaru”. After watching “Umizaru Evolutions”, it makes me think if “The Guardian” wasn’t just some kind of a US re-make, or rip-off, of “Umizaru”.

    Hi!
I just knew B’z last night. Ocean is a good song but I cannot understand it in Japanese. So when I saw your translation, I thought you did a good job! Please continue doing this.
